After receiving her MBA from Harvard Business School, Erica worked at General Mills and The Coca-Cola Company. She began her career as an entrepreneur to leverage her industry and consumer knowledge to build valuable ideas centered on food and family.
Supporting Our Chefs: Nyesha’s Story
Introduced during the early days of Cookonnect, Nyesha became the third Cookonnect chef. She had her own meal prep company, taught cooking classes, and was cooking to pay her way through nursing school. That was her ambition, to become a nurse.
Ambition and passion are two of the most critical qualities we look for in a Cookonnect chef. In every chef interview, we ask "what are you working towards?" We get a wide range of responses, some completely unrelated to food. But it's not about a specific answer, it's about the level of ambition and how Cookonnect and our customers can help each chef achieve their personal goals.
Fast forward to today, and Chef Nyesha has become Nurse Nyesha. She was with Cookonnect for well over a year, helping us grow and learn. In turn, we had the honor of attending her nursing school pinning ceremony and watching her give the graduation speech for her class. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch her still doing a few Cookonnect services for fun today!
Nyesha's story represents everything we mean when we say that Cookonnect is just as much about making mealtime easier as it is about creating economic opportunity.
