How to Make Leftovers Loved Again

At Cookonnect we believe in making dinner as easy and delicious as possible, and sometimes that means making leftovers a can’t miss encore! Repurposing leftovers is a great way to reduce food waste and create new meals with the ingredients you already have. It’s also sometimes inevitable when your littles don’t finish (or start!) a meal and will see it again and again until they do! Just us??? Anyway, here are some creative ideas for repurposing leftovers:

  1. Stir-Fry

    Use leftover cooked meat, vegetables, and rice or noodles to make a delicious stir-fry. Add some soy sauce, garlic, and your favorite seasonings for flavor.

  2. Sandwiches or Wraps

    Transform leftover roasted chicken, turkey, or beef into tasty sandwiches or wraps. Add some fresh vegetables, cheese, and condiments for a satisfying meal.

  3. Frittata or Quiche

    Our chefs love this one!  Combine leftover vegetables, meats, and cheese with beaten eggs to make a frittata or quiche. Bake it in the oven until set for a hearty breakfast, lunch, or dinner option.

  4. Pizza or Flatbread Toppings

    Use leftover cooked vegetables, meats, or even pasta sauce to top a pizza or flatbread. Add some cheese and bake until the crust is crispy and the cheese is melted.

  5. Soup or Stew

    Turn leftover roasted vegetables, meats, or roasted potatoes into a delicious soup or stew. Simply add some broth, herbs, and spices, and simmer until all the flavors meld together.

  6. Salad

    Transform cooked vegetables or meats into a flavorful salad. Combine them with fresh greens, add some dressing, and enjoy a light and refreshing meal.
